In the 2022 semi finals and preliminary finals , the team who finishes higher on the final points score table , will have the home court advantage.
If two teams from the same club both have the home court advantage , we will have to organize a different night/afternoon or the lower placed club team will have to agree to forsake their home court advantage and play at a neutral venue.
All Grand Finals will be played at neutral venues.
There will be a prize of $100 for the highest break made by a player in each of the three competitions (throughout the rounds and finals).
Elwyn Jones Billiards
The handicaps will freeze after Round 17 on 25th July and the last round (20) will be played on 15th August. The top two teams on the final Point Score Table will play in the Grand Final on 22nd August at a neutral venue (unless both teams are from the same club).

The NDBSA Committee apologises for the error in the Competition Format page on the website. The website states that the top 8 teams go through to the finals. This instruction was inadvertently left over from the 2019 competition format.
It should read “the top 6 out of 10 teams go through to the finals”.
The handicap freeze began after the Wed 29th June round 15 games and the last round 21 will be played on 27th July.(13th July is State of Origin Final game)

NDBSA COMPETITION START AND COVID UPDATE
To all members,
Earlier this week we sent a notification regarding the scheduled restart of competition play. After receiving notification back from a few teams and clubs, it is apparent that the recent spike in community Covid issues has had a substantial impact on their ability to field players or host competition play. We are therefore unable to meet our intended start date and have no option to postpone the competition restart. Without further notice from teams, clubs, and the government, we cannot set a date. The NDBSA will convene in meeting this week to implement a temporary forward plan. The NDBSA apologises for this short notice, and thanks all members for their patience during difficult times. We will inform all clubs and members of any updates as soon as they come to hand. We hope that all members will stay safe, and we look forward to returning to competition play when we are able to.
Regards,
Richard Evans ~ President NDBSA
