Newcastle Snooker Website

Over the last 12 months the website theme that Newcastle Snooker used has become more problematic on mobile devices. As such the Committee has requested I investigate a better solution. Over the next couple of weeks I will be trialling different website themes in an attempted to find the best mobile friendly option. I will attempt to keep all data accessible for player during this transition, however the look and responsiveness may be affected whilst differing options are explored.

Regards,

Grant Schubert

Important Announcement re Covid-19 [Coronavirus]

The rapid onset of Covid-19 [Coronavirus] in the global community and its classification by the World Health Organization as a ‘pandemic’, has prompted many sporting organizations to act swiftly to assist in preventing the spread of the virus. Most recently the Australian Billiards & Snooker Council has posted a recommendation to alter established etiquette procedures, and the Victorian Billiards & Snooker Association has cancelled all calendar events until the end of June.

With the health and well-being of our members as our primary concern, NDBSA has decided to suspend all current tournament activity with immediate effect. We have not set a specific time period to adhere to in the hope that regular monitoring of State and National health updates will allow us to recommence tournament play at the earliest possible convenience. It is our intention to update all club secretaries and team captains on a fortnightly basis. The next announcement is scheduled for March 30, 2020. We trust that our members will take any and all precautions to ensure their own safety during the cessation period.

Richard Evans
President NDBSA
