Cessnock Snooker are proud to announce that they have successfully relocated to the East Cessnock Bowling Club for all home games from tomorrow. The NDBSA would like to formally welcome the East Cessnock Bowling Club to our list of sporting venues and hope to have a long and successful relationship. All Cessnock Snooker home games will be at the new venue from tomorrow. When visiting this facility please try the restaurant and facilities – you won’t be disappointed.

Mingara Double Trouble Tournament 27-28th Jan

Mingara Snooker & Billiard Club and the Greater Western Snooker Circuit are proud to present the 15th Annual ‘Double Trouble’ handicap doubles snooker tournament. Previous years have been well represented by the Hunter with the 2017 winners, Ian Olson and Gary Roberts triumphant over a field of 92 players. Hopefully, the Hunter region again will enter in good numbers with the possibility of it again returning to Newcastle. Click here for details.

Wangi Workers to meet Cessnock Snooker in the Premier League Grand Final

The Cessnock Snooker Club will have a chance to defend their title when they come up against their last grand final opponents, and this seasons minor premiers, the Wangi Workers Club. The Grand Final will be held at the Belmont 16′ Sailing Club this Thursday, the 7th December at 7pm. Good luck to both teams and, as always, spectators most welcome.

Alan McCarthy wins 2017 Newcastle Open

2017 NSW Minors Champion Alan McCarthy has added the Newcastle Open to his list of accomplishments defeating Rob Elsley in a close fought final. The final score was 4 frames to 3 in a late finishing, attacking final which saw Alan beat Rob, the defending champion.

 

A big thanks you to Wangi Workers and Belmont 16′ for co-hosting the tournament and the NDBSA Committee members who helped run the successful event.
