Outcome of 2019 NDBSA AGM
Unfortunately the 2019 AGM held on the 4th of February failed to establish nominations for a Committee. As such the previous Committee has decided to stay on until a General Meeting can be held to elect a new Committee. This meeting will be held on the 27th of February, 6:30pm at Kahibah Sports Club. Should the General Meeting fail to elect a new Committee then the Newcastle District and Billiards Association will be dissolved.
The existing snookers competitions, the Rex Smith Over 50s and the Two-Up summer comp will continue to run but no new competitions will commence until a new Committee is up and running.
Should you wish to nominate for a position or discuss what’s involved in being a Committee Member then please don’t hesitate to contact any of the existing Committee Members to discuss. Or alternately, come to the Special General Meeting to express your interest.
Below is a brief example of some of the expectations of positions however, there is flexibility in how a committee can run its affairs provided there is no breach of the Constitution (See Constitution here). The constitution also goes into greater details on the position descriptions.
