Week 3 of the Tony Tamplin Finals see the Tennis Club Titans and the Toronto Worker’s No. 2 bow out after both having good seasons. Unfortunately the Draw has given the only 2 teams left in the final from the one club both with homes games. Belmont 16′ Sailing Club No.1 has graciously agreed to forego their home game advantage and play at Wangi so the finals can progress without delay. Good luck to all teams next week.

Due to some disagreements over the last couple of seasons the NDBSA Committee has determined that the order of play for the finals will be draw out of the hat and each match goes on as soon as any table becomes available just as in the group stages. As always home teams get the right to choose which tables the first 2 home side players play on. Home teams mark matches except when it’s a 3 table venue and in that instance the away player/s not playing should assist with marking. All five players from each team need to be in attendance at start times unless approval obtained from both captains. Player cigarette breaks are not to be taken mid-match.

Congratulations to Mayfield Bowling Club No.2 who have taken out the 2017 Tony Tamplin Minor Premiership after defeating Belmont 16′ Sailing Club No.2 in a play-off. That now finalises the top 8 positions and the finals campaign will begin for all 8 teams on Wednesday the 19th October.
