The 2018 Minor Premiers, the Cessnock Comets have progressed through to the Rex Smith Grand Final. Belmont 16′ Sailing Club No.1 have another bite of the cherry and will play the Kahibah Sports Panthers to see who will join Cessnock in the Grand Final.

Rex Smith Over-50s minor & major semi-finals

Congratulations to Cessnock Comets who needed a 4 points from their last match to take out the minor premiership by a point. Cessnock Comets will play Belmont 16′ Sailing Club No.1 at Wangi Workers Club on Thursday to see who will progress to Grand Final. In the minor semi Wangi Workers Club No.2 will play Kahibah Sport Panthers at Belmont 16′ Sailing Club. Good luck to all teams competing.

Rex Smith Over-50s grand final

Cessnock Ex-Services Snooker Club has overcome the disappointment of losing their home tables to record another chance to take out the Rex Smith Over-50s Shield. Standing in their way is Belmont 16′ Sailing No.2 side who have been great form. The Grand Final will be held at Wangi Workers Club 1pm Thursday the 16th November. Spectators most welcome and good luck to both teams.

Rex Smith Over-50s and Premier League Snooker Competitions

The 2017 Rex Smith Over-50s and Premier League Snooker will start Thursday the 29th June.

Currently the Tony Tamplin is $2500 – in 2018 the NDBSA Committee will look at a more even distribution of prizemoney across all competitions.
As is the case with the Tony Tamplin prize money, this money is for club equipment improvement purposes only and must be used by the end of January 2018. By utilising this prizemoney for equipment improvement purposes all NDBSA members benefit by playing competition snooker with better equipment.
