Wangi Workers end Cessnock’s Premier League dominance

Congratulations to Wangi Workers Club who defeated Cessnock Snooker 2-1 in the Grand Final of the 2017 Premier League. Thanks to Belmont 16′ Sailing Club for allowing us to hold the Grand Final at their venue and the NDBSA Committee who provided markers for the matches. Well done to Rob Elsley who took out the season high break with a 104.

Rex Smith Over-50s and Premier League Snooker Competitions

The 2017 Rex Smith Over-50s and Premier League Snooker will start Thursday the 29th June.

Currently the Tony Tamplin is $2500 – in 2018 the NDBSA Committee will look at a more even distribution of prizemoney across all competitions.
As is the case with the Tony Tamplin prize money, this money is for club equipment improvement purposes only and must be used by the end of January 2018. By utilising this prizemoney for equipment improvement purposes all NDBSA members benefit by playing competition snooker with better equipment.

F’awesome Cessnock Ex-Services win 2016/17 Premier League

The Cessnock Ex-Services Club has again showed their depth and skill in winning their 4th consecutive Premier League event defeating the Wangi Worker’s Club. However it wasn’t easy and came down to the deciding black, in the deciding frame of the deciding match. Well done to Cessnock. Richard Evans from the Kahibah Demons took out the season high break with a 70 clearance.

2016/17 Premier League Grand Final

The 2016/17 Premier League Grand Final will be held between Minor Premiers, the Cessnock Ex-Services Club and the Wangi Workers Club at the Tennis Club 7pm, the 13th of April 2017. The Premiers League Grand Final is best of 5 frames. Good Luck to both teams and spectators most welcome.

Premier League Final

The Premier League final between Mayfield Bowling Club and Wangi Worker’s Club will be at the Tennis Club 7pm this Thursday the 6th of April. The winner will meet Cessnock Ex-Services Club in the Premier League Grand final the following week. All matches best of 5. Good luck to both teams.
